The degree in English Language and Literature at the Timorese Catholic University has as its main objective the training of individuals able to carry out pedagogical and/or professional activity in the field of English Language and Literature, based on strong deontological principles without losing sight of the practical interest of the course curriculum and its great diversity of applications both in the country and abroad. To provide the acquisition of knowledge and literary tools that contribute to the raising of cultural standards, educational efficiency, professional effectiveness. Promote the knowledge of the languages, literatures and cultures related to their country of origin (England) as well as to the other British countries, and important nations for the use of this Germanic language such as the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand among many others.
